Zane Gray first joined OCAP as a stray in 2028. Back then, he was a young adult; now in spring 2026, he’s a calm, grown-up cat, estimated around 9 to 10 years old. Zane is the definition of a good-natured cat: he’s always been sweet, craves attention, and adores treats. After his initial stay with the rescue, he found a home and spent years in a loving family. Circumstances brought him back to the shelter following his adopter’s passing. He navigates the presence of other cats with quiet dignity and prefers to avoid drama by simply wandering away when tensions flare. He seeks gentle affection from people and settles in easily wherever he lands. Zane is part of the Seniors to Seniors program, so adopters aged 60+ can bring him home at no charge (standard requirements still apply). Every animal deserves a happy ending.
