The transport date is still to be determined and will depend on how many dogs receive fosters or adopters. A committed home is required for Kory to make the trip, and we’re hopeful the right person is out there for him. Meet Kory Kory is a sweet and friendly puppy with a whole lot of growing left to do. At only 13 weeks old, this big boy already weighs 40 pounds, and judging by the size of his paws, he is going to get a lot bigger. Kory came into the shelter alongside his mom, Katya, after the two were found as strays with no signs of ownership. Now he is looking for a loving family ready to help him start his next chapter. Despite his size, Kory is still very much a puppy. He is social, affectionate, and enjoys meeting people. He is dog friendly and would likely do well in a home with other dogs. While he has not been cat tested, he would likely do fine with proper introductions. He is also expected to do well with kids. Kory is still learning the basics, especially when it comes to leash walking. Right now, he is unsure of what he is supposed to do on leash and tends to put on the brakes rather than walk forward. Like any young puppies, he will need patience, consistency, and positive reinforcement as he builds confidence and learns new skills. Because of his age, size, and expected adult size, Kory would thrive with a family prepared for a large breed puppy and all the training, structure, and fun that comes with raising one. If you are looking for a lovable big puppy to grow alongside your family, Kory could be the perfect fit. Age: 13 weeks old Gender: Male Weight: 40 lbs Breed: German Shepherd Mix Spayed/Neutered: Likely will be for transport Potty Trained: Not yet Crate Trained: Not yet Leash Manners: Working on it Good with Dogs: Yes Good with Cats: Likely with proper introductions Good with Kids: Likely yes Kory is ready to keep moving forward and would love a foster or adoptive home to help make that happen.
