Meet Rocket! Rocket is approximately 10 months old and appears to be a shepherd-type mix. We cannot know for sure without a DNA test, but he's a nice medium size right now. Rocket was brought to us as a stray and his owners never came looking for him. From what we understand, Rocket let himself in through an open door of a local establishment while some live music was playing, so perhaps there's a certain kind of music that draws him in? Either way, we're shocked no one came looking for him as he is a very sweet boy. Rocket is a very sweet puppy who is affectionate and submissive. He will follow you around wherever you go just to get pets and be told he's a good boy. He does still submissive piddle sometimes, but most dogs grow out of that with age and confidence building. He doesn't seem to be familiar with restraint, so that could also be what triggers his submission. That being said, he hasn't shown anything but a friendly personality, so we know he will be just fine! This poor boy was covered in ticks and very dirty when he was found, but was in otherwise good condition! He got a bath, and will have all of his vaccines & bloodwork updated before he's adopted. We think he'll do well around other animals and children as long as everyone is properly introduced and supervised. He's sensitive, so dogs won't have to be too overly assertive with him - he just wants to be accepted. We would recommend utilizing a crate during his training & transition, as this will help him learn his new potty routine while also providing him with a safe space of his own.
