Meet Petunia, a sweet 60 lb girl with soulful eyes that will absolutely melt your heart. At around 2 years old, she’s the perfect mix of mellow companion and playful pup-in-progress. She’s incredibly people-oriented and happiest soaking up human attention, whether that means giving kisses, leaning in for hugs, or curling up on the softest blanket she can find. She’s been friendly and happy greeting dogs on walks, and while she’s generally more interested in people than other pups indoors, she’s slowly starting to discover the fun of toys and playtime with dogs too. She’s fully crate trained, does well with routine, and is mostly potty trained. She’s also a total car ride champion and an easy companion to bring along for adventures. Food is definitely the way to her heart. Petunia LOVES her meals and is highly food motivated, which has made training a breeze. When she first arrived, she didn’t know any commands, but she’s already learned “sit” and “touch” and has proven herself to be a quick learner. She’s overall pretty calm and easygoing, though she does get little bursts of zoomy energy and can pull on leash when excited. With continued consistency and training, she’ll only keep blossoming.
