Meet Mocha Mocha arrived at the shelter after being left in our dog park with a note sharing her name and that she needed a new home. While we don’t know much about her past, we do know she’s been incredibly sweet since coming into our care! It took Mocha all of about five minutes to relax and warm up to staff, and once she does, she’s happy to stay close to her people. She enjoys toys, getting pets, and lounging nearby while you go about your day. She’ll even play a game of fetch… but only on her terms. Once she’s done, she’s done! Mocha already knows “sit,” takes treats very gently. She is in need of significant grooming care and will require regular grooming maintenance throughout her life. Her future adopter will need to be committed to keeping up with her coat care to ensure she stays comfortable and healthy. If we are unable to have her professionally groomed before adoption, her adopter will need to schedule a grooming appointment as soon as possible after taking her home. Mocha will need to go home as a foster-to-adopt placement and remain within 45 minutes of the shelter until her spay surgery is completed.
