Bear is a 21-year-old chocolate-colored gentleman whose whole world was turned upside down when the person and home he had known his entire life were suddenly gone. After 21 years of comfort, routine, and belonging, he came to HART alongside his longtime companions Gracie Gray, Hot Rod, and Luis. Right now, having one of them nearby--especially a familiar friend--is what helps him feel grounded in all this change. He is shy and understandably shaken by the loss of everything he's ever known, but at his core he is gentle, soft-hearted, and still trying to make sense of his new world. A warm, loving home is exactly what Bear needs to feel safe and cherished again. And while he could blossom with patience and time, it would be truly ideal if he could be adopted with one or more of his longtime friends, so he never has to face this transition alone. With familiar comfort by his side and a kind human to reassure him, Bear has every chance to slowly rediscover peace, trust, and love.
