Poor Gretchen! Her owner passed away and the family surrendered her and her son to a high kill animal control. Owner surrenders are killed first because they have no stray holds. And the pound was full. Volunteers reach out and we could not let these discarded family members die by the cruel heart stick method. So we sent out a plea for fosters and an awesome couple stepped up to save their lives. They went straight to foster and are thriving. Still adjusting and in flight mode. A good halter is necessary due to their flight mode. Once in a harness foster Mom has taught her to walk like a dream. She loves quiet and prefers to just snuggle up to her person and chill. Her and foster Mom hang out in the Craft room and she lets the other dogs have their fun. She is not a fan of cats, but perhaps a cat that is independent and doesn't want interaction would work. She is an aussie and will command space by herding annoying dogs away. She is definately a cool mix of breeds. She is ready to find her forever!
