<p>Hi I'm Candy.</p> <p>For a long time, my world was very small.</p> <p>I came from a hoarding and breeding situation alongside my son, Rafael. When Desert Paws Sanctuary stepped in to help the elderly woman caring for us, they quickly realized we had never really experienced life outside of that environment.</p> <p>I was terrified.</p> <p>I didn't know how to walk on a leash. I didn't understand the outside world. Everything felt scary and unfamiliar.</p> <p>But then I went to my foster home, and slowly things started to change.</p> <p>My fosters have shown me patience, kindness, and love. Now I'm learning that people can be safe. I love being close to my humans, following them around, and just sitting next to them quietly.
