Timmy
AvailableTimmy is a brindle and white/cream mixed breed Pit Bull Terrier with a short coat, currently located in Phoenix, MD. He is an adult, medium-sized, neutered male dog who is house trained and up to date on vaccinations. Timmy has special needs due to having only three legs and some emotional sensitivity, but his resilient spirit shines through every day.
About Timmy
Timmy is everyone’s favorite tripod. He only has three legs, but he doesn’t let that slow him down—he runs and plays like it’s second nature. His early life was tough; he spent his first months on the streets, just surviving, and didn’t get the normal puppy socialization or playtime. Recovery from his amputation took up even more of his puppyhood. All of that means Timmy can be under-socialized and pretty excitable, so obedience training is highly recommended to help him blossom and pick up good habits. At his heart, Timmy is a loving, goofy, and playful dog. He lights up around people and genuinely wants to please. He is, however, reactive to other dogs at the shelter and should be the only dog in his new home. He’s not the right fit for a family with children and needs adults who understand his past and his unique needs. He’s loyal, sweet, and looking for someone ready to invest time, patience, and love.
