Jasmine Crockett spent a long time fending for herself in a trailer park before rescue. Her previous owner left her behind with a group of cats after being evicted, and while a neighbor tried to look out for her, Jasmine mostly had to make do on her own. When rescue finally stepped in, she was found with scratches and an abscess that needed medical care, but she handled it all with a calm resilience that's typical of her. Once safe indoors, Jasmine adjusted quickly. She keeps to herself, prefers her own space, but doesn’t mind mingling when it’s time for a meal. Most days you’ll catch her perched at the window, taking in the outdoor action. Small and striking with dilute tortoiseshell coloring, Jasmine weighs around 8 1/2 pounds.
