About Scout
Scout is a 1.5-year-old Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever and Carolina Dog mix with a warm, reddish coat. Heās a bit underweight, thanks to a rough start, but his appetite and love of foodāespecially bananasāmean heāll fill out in no time. Despite everything, Scoutās spirit hasnāt dimmed. Heās playful, loves fetch and the chase of a backyard, and is quick with a belly-up sprawl if youāre dishing out a rub. New people are friends he hasnāt met yet, and the idea of relaxing with someone after some yard fun is Scoutās idea of the good life. Heās already picking up basic commands like sit and paw after just a couple of days in foster care and isnāt one to pull or wander on leash. Scout gets along well with other dogs and is eager to keep learning and settling into his new routine. Heās not house trained yet but is young and quick to adapt, especially with patience and treats on hand. With a little help, Scout is sure to turn into a happy, healthy companion.
