About Toba
Meet Toba! Toba is one of nine “low-rider” dogs recently brought to Bend, Oregon, from Tijuana after their owner passed away. Believed to be a Chihuahua and possibly Dachshund mix, she’s got that charming mix of tiny, scruffy features with a long, low build—what some folks call a chiweenie. You’ll notice her short legs, expressive face, and outsized personality right away. Thanks to quick-thinking local rescuers, Toba and her siblings got a shot at safety and now, they’re in the Pacific Northwest starting a new chapter. She’s just started to settle in. Her foster is learning more about her daily, but so far she’s in good health, up to date on vaccinations, spayed, and microchipped. Toba gets along well with people and other dogs (cats are still TBD). She’s looking for someone to show her what “home” means. If you want a dog with an already big story and even bigger heart, she’s ready to meet you. Born on May 13, Toba is a Taurus, so expect a loyal and steady companion.
