Don’t worry, your eyes are not deceiving you! Adoptable Herbie IS in fact this cute!!! Herbert is a one-of-a-kind cat. We don’t know his full story -- we met him at a cat colony in NW DC, where neighbors said he was left behind when someone moved out years ago. When we saw his tiny mouf and dirty paws, we fell in love and had to get him the indoor life once again. And since then, he’s been thriving and making the most of it!!! Herbalicious is, at his core, a Snuggler.™ On your lap, on your chest, pressed up against your head while sharing your pillow … Herbie’s goal in life is to be as close to you as possible, as much as possible. His loud purrs are the best soundtrack to life, and his favorite time of day is naptime and bedtime. As soon as you lay down, he will run over to you excitedly from whatever he is doing and climb on top of you, ready for love. If you’re reading or scrolling on your phone, Herbie helpfully offers a hands-free cuddle option and will happily push his face against your face and demand kisses. Herbie’s adorable blep is a result of his lack of teeth -- there’s nothing in there to hold in his tongue! Herbie is undeterred though. He loves to crunch dry food and will eat with gusto. A sensitive, sweet man through-and-through, Herbie does best when on a prescription diet to help soothe his sensitive tummy. As a middle-aged man, Herbie is not really a playful cat -- snuggling and dreaming about snuggling are his preferred activities -- but occasionally he’ll get a burst of energy and attack a toy with exactly the fervor you’d expect of a toothless cat. He gets along well with other cats and loves to nap in their proximity and investigate what kind of food is in their bowls.
