Meet Laylarose 🌹 At just 1.5 years old, Laylarose has already lived through more heartbreak than any dog should. This stunning German Shepherd spent SIX long months sitting in a shelter kennel, watching people walk past her day after day without ever choosing her. As the shelter became more overcrowded and her time ran out, Laylarose ended up on the euthanasia list. But everyone who met her kept telling us the same thing: “She’s SUCH a good dog.” So we couldn’t let that be the end of her story. Laylarose is now safe in a loving foster home, and we are absolutely smitten with this beautiful girl. At around 60 pounds, she’s still very much a young shepherd with puppy energy and a playful spirit. She LOVES to play and would thrive in a home with another playful, tolerant dog or kids who want a built-in adventure buddy to run and romp around with. But underneath all that energy is a dog who is deeply craving connection. After spending 6 months alone in a kennel, Laylarose is soaking up love anywhere she can find it. She wants to be close to her people. She leans into affection, follows you around, looks to you for reassurance, and absolutely melts when she realizes she’s safe and loved. Like many dogs who spend months confined to a kennel, Laylarose could use some consistency, structure, and continued training as she adjusts back to normal life.
