Olivia’s story began when Purrfect Haven Cat Rescue and TNR received a call from a woman whose two cats had both delivered litters of kittens and she could no longer care for them. One of those mamas was gorgeous long-haired Obsidian, who arrived to us exhausted, painfully thin, and trying so hard to care for her five babies. As the kittens grew, mama Obsidian’s milk supply began to dry up because her fragile body needed to focus on keeping herself alive. Thankfully, most of the kittens had started eating on their own by then. But tiny Oliver wasn’t ready. While his brothers were busy roughhousing and figuring out food, little Oliver still needed constant help to survive. Marissa learned to tube feed him every two hours around the clock just to keep him alive. And through it all, there was Olivia. The only girl among four busy brothers, Olivia somehow always knew Oliver needed her. While the others wrestled and played, Olivia stayed close to her tiny brother. If Oliver was curled up on the heating pad, Olivia was right there snuggled against him keeping him warm. If the boys got too rough, Olivia would step in and make sure Oliver was left alone. She watched over him constantly like his own tiny protector. Even now, their bond is something truly special. Olivia is not only absolutely beautiful, but she is one of the sweetest, cuddliest kittens you will ever meet. She loves to be held, loves to purr, and loves absolutely everyone she meets. But her favorite thing in the world is still her little brother Oliver. All of their siblings have found forever homes, and mama Obsidian has too. But we waited to post Olivia because we knew she deserved a home that would understand just how special her bond with Oliver truly is. These two adore each other. They sleep wrapped around one another, play together nonstop, and seek each other out the moment they are separated. Olivia has spent her entire little life loving and protecting her brother, and we would love nothing more than to see them grow up together forever.
