About Mittens

Mittens is a 4 year, 11 month-old young lady waiting to meet you! Her Highness leads a life of luxury nibbling on kibble (maybe indulging a bit too much), chittering at the birds outside the windows, and lounging. She also enjoys reading (she likes whatever her human is reading) and playing with stick toys with strings. Mittens' middle name could be "mellow," but with spurts of sprints around the house. She likes to be very close to her human - either in the same room, in the same bed, or even snuggled right up fur-to-face. She will trot ahead of you and flop over and meow for pets; she truly appreciates all the love you have to give. This beautiful tuxedo gal currently reigns as the only pet in a quiet townhome attended to by her foster lady-in-waiting. Mittens prefers to monopolize your attention and needs to be the only animal in the home. She was adopted from Pet Haven two years ago, but never really adjusted to the adopter's resident cat. Her loving family did the difficult thing by letting Mittens be adopted now by someone where she can live her best life as "Queen of the Castle". She has lived with a family with older children. Her transition to live with a foster was very easy; she formed a trusting bond and connection quickly, and no doubt that will happen with whomever adopts her. She will thrive in a caring home with someone who is around a lot to give her the attention and companionship she so enjoys. If you are looking for a sweet solo princess who likes to cuddle, then Mittens could be your storybook ending. There is no guarantee of age and breed as a rescue animal's history is unknown. All ages and breeds are best estimates. Adoption fees include a mandatory sales tax of 7.525%. All cats have received comprehensive veterinary care and tested negative for feline leukemia and FIV unless otherwise stated. Cats are up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccinations and have been spayed/neutered, treated for fleas and/or ear mites, de-wormed, and microchipped. Please note there may be additional follow up visits and boosters that are not covered by Pet Haven after adoption. Interested in adopting or learning more about this cat?
