He loves being the center of attention and prefers to be the only pet in the home.

About Picasso

Picasso arrived a big, unruly pit bull terrier mix but now carries himself with a quiet confidence and a well-earned physique. He came from ACCT Philly at a staggering 110 pounds, but thanks to hard work, he’s down to a trim 80 and looking sharp. Picasso is seven, neutered, microchipped, 4DX negative, fully vaccinated (even Lepto), and faithfully kept up on preventatives. He handles life like a champ: crate trained, polite on leash, and polished by a recent three-week board-and-train program. This guy is a true people-dog—clingy, affectionate, and convinced he’s an undersized lapdog. He’s happiest snoozing across your legs, indulging in belly rubs, or gnawing on a tough chew toy (he’s got serious jaw power). Picasso prefers to be the only animal in the house; dog and cat intros just never took, and he flourishes as a solo pet. Years of sun exposure left him with sun sensitivity, so he needs sunscreen and a sun shirt for outdoor time. Squeaky toys and sharp noises, like smoke detectors, aren’t his thing. In return, Picasso gives back endless love and loyalty. If you want a dog who’s all in on his people and content as your solo companion, Picasso could be the one. They are ready to love you; are you ready to apply?

Questions about Picasso

  • What type of living environment is this breed usually best suited for?

Picasso, as a pit bull terrier mix, is best suited for a home with plenty of human companionship. He thrives as the only pet in a moderately active household that is ready to include him in daily life.

  • How much outdoor space does this breed typically need?

Picasso would benefit from a securely fenced yard for play sessions, but frequent walks and time outdoors with sun protection are just as important for him as a large personal yard.

  • Is this breed typically suitable for homes with children?

Pit bull terrier mixes like Picasso can be affectionate with older, dog-savvy children, but given Picasso's need to be an only pet and sensitivity to loud noises, a calmer, adult-oriented home is preferable.
