About Dixie
Dixie has grown into a true queen of second chances. This 5-year-old English Bulldog came from a local shelter with a tough start, battling a painful tail pocket infection. After a tail amputation, soft palate surgery, and being spayed, she’s made a remarkable recovery and is now loving life again. Once tipping the scales at 75 lbs, Dixie’s down to a healthier 67 lbs and feeling great. Dixie is silly, joyful, and adores cuddling up with her people. She’s gentle, affectionate, and enjoys relaxed leash walks at your pace. Dixie is house trained and easy to have around the home. She prefers a house without stairs or with only a few so she can stay comfortable as she ages. She’s up to date on vaccines, has tested negative for heartworm, and is microchipped, ready for her new life. Dixie is a loyal companion who will be devoted to the people in her life and will fill the home with warmth and goofy happiness. Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!
