Hi there! My name is Poppy… like the pretty flower, because as my foster mom says, I’m sweet and beautiful too. I’m around 2–3 years old and 44 lbs., and my foster mom says I’ve been doing an amazing job learning what it means to be loved and part of a family. I enjoy hanging out with other dogs, especially once I’ve had a little time to get comfortable and trust everyone. I’m doing really well meeting new friends and absolutely love playing with my foster dog siblings. I also do fine with cats and mostly just mind my business around them. I’m also learning that life can be full of fun adventures, cozy couch naps, treats, and walks around the park. Speaking of walks… I hear hiking might be in my future, and honestly, I’m pretty excited about it! I’m house trained, kennel trained, and very proud of myself when I hear “Kennel, Poppy” and go right in like a good girl. I may also sing you the song of my people with a big happy “awwooooo” when you come home because I missed you SO much. What I really want is a family who will keep helping me learn, love me for the sweet girl I am, and save me a spot on the couch for snuggles.
