Boomerang was found in Philadelphia when he was about a month old. When he was 7 weeks old, it was discovered that he has juvenile gingivitis, which is an infection of his gums and teeth. The vet was able to remove several extremely loose baby teeth but he will likely need the rest of his baby teeth removed as well if they develop infections. He was given an antibiotic injection and we hope the underlying infection will stop progressing. We hope that his adult teeth will grow in normally but there is the possibility they could develop stomatitis and need to be removed when he is an adult. Other than his issue with possible stomatitis, Boomerang is such a sweet boy! He loves other cats, loves to play, and doesn't even mind being picked up.
