Zane is a gentle, sensitive soul who prefers to take introductions slow, but once he realizes you are kind, he quickly starts leaning into affection and enjoying head scratches. Shelter life has been a little overwhelming for him, so he likes a few extra minutes to settle in and observe before showing his softer side. Once he feels comfortable though, the sweet personality underneath starts shining through. According to his history, Zane has previously lived around both another cat and a dog, and he has been keeping up normal eating and litter box habits while at the shelter. He seems like the kind of cat who would do best in a patient home where he can build confidence at his own pace and spend his days relaxing in cozy hiding spots before eventually becoming someone’s quiet little shadow.
