He would do best in an adult home or a quieter environment where he can enjoy a peaceful routine and lots of cozy cuddle time. Gomez is FeLV positive - specifically considered "regressive" FeLV positive. This means he was exposed to feline leukemia virus and his body has largely suppressed the infection. Regressive FeLV cats often live long, happy, healthy lives and may test positive on some types of tests while carrying very low levels of virus. Because there is still some uncertainty about possible transmission, Gomez should either be adopted as an only cat, with other FeLV-positive cats, or into a home experienced with FeLV management. Despite his diagnosis, Gomez is full of love, personality, and companionship to give. He's looking for someone who sees beyond a test result and into the heart of a truly wonderful cat.
