About Queso
Queso might be mostly fluff, but he has more personality than anything else. He’s the tiniest of his siblings, weighing just 1 lb at about 6 weeks old, and his fur is unruly and abundant, which means he’ll need regular grooming—especially if you want to avoid a dingleberry incident. He’s just learning that people can be gentle and kind, so he’s still a little nervous and uncertain around humans, though never aggressive. Queso’s confidence is a work in progress; he could really use a quiet home without young kids or rowdy dogs. He’d thrive with another cat for company, and ideally an adopter with experience handling long-haired cats. This little guy would benefit from lots of human attention to help him open up, which is why a foster-to-adopt arrangement is preferred. Queso is being fostered in Cosby, TN, and will be neutered, microchipped, and fully vetted before adoption. What are you waiting for? Apply today!

Questions about Queso
What type of living environment is this breed usually best suited for?
A Domestic Long Hair like Queso generally flourishes in a calm indoor environment with people who can give him attention and regular grooming. His breed adapts well to apartments or houses as long as he has cozy spots to relax.
How much outdoor space does this breed typically need?
Queso, like most Domestic Long Hairs, doesn't require outdoor space and should be kept indoors for safety and to protect his luxurious coat. An enriching indoor environment will suit him perfectly.
Is this breed typically suitable for homes with children?
Domestic Long Hairs are usually gentle, but since Queso is still learning to trust humans, a home without young children would be best for him right now. Older, gentle children would be okay as he continues to build confidence.
