Betsy
AvailableBetsy is a senior female Boston Terrier with a medium build. She is spayed, house trained, and vaccinated, and currently resides in Huntington Beach, CA. With an easygoing temperament and a weight of about 19 pounds, Betsy’s care is just a bit more involved due to her Cushing’s Disease and daily medication.
About Betsy
Betsy arrived in rescue in December after her time at West LA Animal Services, needing a lot of medical attention. She's now spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped, and her initial tests for heartworm and parasites were clear. Betsy was diagnosed with Cushing’s Disease, but it’s controlled with daily medication, which she'll need for the rest of her life. The monthly cost runs about $80 to $100, making her care slightly more specialized than most. Betsy does great with other dogs in her foster home. Meals are the only situation where her food love takes over—she'll need to be fed separately since she can't resist helping herself to others' food bowls. Otherwise, Betsy is low-maintenance and easy to have around. She’s house trained, uses a doggie door, enjoys car rides, and is always up for cuddles. At around 12 years old and 19 pounds, she fits right in as a calm companion on the couch or during a slow stroll down the block. She’s looking for a home where she can enjoy her retirement years in comfort and affection. Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!
