Meet Roger, a one and a half year old Mini Aussie/German Shepherd mix weighing 50 pounds. Roger came to us after being found as a stray, and although his finders wished they could keep him, they were unable to do so—now he’s ready for a fresh start and a forever home of his own. He can be a little unsure in new situations, and the camera definitely had him questioning whether it might "steal his soul," but underneath that initial hesitation is a sweet, sensitive boy who is learning that people are safe. Roger is medium-sized and looks to his humans for guidance, making him a great candidate for continued training and socialization. He is eager to please and should be easy to train with a bit of patience, consistency, and reassurance. Once he trusts you, his affectionate side really shines—he’s more than happy to crawl into your lap for snuggles and soak up all the love he can get. Roger is looking for a calm, supportive home where he can build confidence and blossom into the loyal companion he’s meant to be.
