🖤 Meet Bagheera 🖤 Our stunning “house panther” Bagheera has quite the story to tell. Several months ago, this handsome boy came to us terrified, shut down, and carrying a severe bite wound along the side of his face. It was clear life had not been kind to him. Beneath those frightened eyes, though, was a cat who desperately wanted a chance to feel safe. With excellent veterinary care, lots of patience, and plenty of good groceries, Bagheera has made an incredible recovery — both physically and emotionally. Today, his wounds have healed beautifully, his sleek black coat shines, and his personality is beginning to blossom. While he may still need a little extra time to acclimate in a new environment, once he feels safe, the sweetest side of Bagheera emerges. The love is there — you simply have to earn his trust and allow him the grace to settle in at his own pace. Bagheera would thrive with someone who understands that healing takes time and that the most rewarding bonds are often the ones built slowly. Watching this once-frightened boy learn to trust again has been nothing short of amazing. Now all he needs is a forever home where he will never have to be afraid again. 🖤 Filling out an application does not guarantee adoption of a particular cat or kitten. We receive many applications for each listed cat, and we review them carefully to ensure a good fit. Of approvable applications, we give precedence to the earliest that we receive. All of our cats and kittens are rescued, or surrendered to us by their previous owners, and now seek loving, permanent homes. All of our cats are spayed/neutered, given age-appropriate vaccinations, tested for FIV and FeLV, as well as given flea, heartworm, and ear mite prevention. We do not DNA or allergy test our cats. We cannot guarantee the breed mix, as we are a rescue, not breeders. Please note that we are a privately run rescue. We are not government funded and get very few donations. The care that we provide, the animals that we rescue, all costs are covered out of pocket, so our adoption fees are higher than what you may find at a funded or government shelter.
