About Lira
Meet Lira, a fierce mama cat with a gentle side who earned her place among the rescue's "money babies" after arriving just after tax season. She came in caring for her three tiny kittens, fiercely protective despite everything life threw at her. Now her kittens are safe, and she's ready for a home that appreciates her resilience and cares about her progress. Lira is a soft, chatty girl who loves attention once she feels comfortable. When trust is earned, she leans in for head scratches, shares her day's stories, and laps up affection like sheās been starved for it. Still, trauma lingers: the sound of dogs terrifies her, sometimes making her lash out fearfully. Because of this, Lira must have a calm, dog-free home with someone patient who can give her the space and time she needs. When she feels protected, her affectionate and expressive nature comes forwardāsheās all heart and loyalty. Lira isnāt looking for someone to "fix" her; she needs a partner who understands lasting trust is a treasure. Sheās currently in foster care, so meetings need to be scheduled in advanceāno walk-ins. Let the team know your availability, and theyāll help coordinate. Your journey with this sweet survivor starts with a simple meet and greet. Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!
