4/11/26: I took Mickey out today for playtime and photos. He is such a great dog! He walks like a pro on a leash, mostly loose leash and by my side. He immediately went to the bathroom (for a while) and seems to be housetrained. He play bowed at me and liked chasing tennsi balls but didn't really want to "fetch" the ball back for me. He would jump and occasionally get mouthy, but was gentle for the most part. I think he has puppy energy still, and also LOVED affection. He's all about the pets and kisses. He has a really goofy personality but is a good listener. He was very interested in a dog/dog meeting across the yard and would run back and forth by the fence line to play with them. He had a wagging tail and greeted all the people he passed. I think he would do wonderfully in a home with other dogs and seems to be medium energy. He also strikes me as intelligent and could probably do well with training or agility sports. GREAT DOG! 5/14/26: Mickey is unfortunately back at the shelter, but still doing wonderfully. He's a bit calmer than his last stay and may have some nerves from the change in environments. He is still cuddly and affectionate with all the staff! He is definitely housetrained and also good with other dogs. He would be great with a family or a single owner. I think he would do well with kids too! He didn't have any mouthiness or jump on anyone today. 10/10 dog.
