Count Chompula Male DOB 04/04/2020 MRQ# A-2824 Meet Count Chompula 🖤🐾 This poor guy once had a home and family of his own for 6 years. Sadly, after the family had a child, Count had a negative interaction with the little one. We don’t know exactly what happened, but we do know that cats are often misunderstood when children aren’t taught how to respectfully interact with animals. Instead of giving Count patience, understanding, and a chance to adjust, he was surrendered to SEAACA. After only 3 days, Count was placed on the euthanasia list… his life nearly ending simply because he was scared and overwhelmed. Thankfully, MeoowzResQ stepped in just in time and saved him from eternal sleep. 💔➡️❤️ Once Count had a little time to decompress, his true personality started shining through. Staff noticed that after about a week, he began exploring the office, climbing high into the cat trees like the king he is, and soaking up all the scratches and brushing he could get. He LOVES food, loves lounging around like a big ham, and more than anything… he wants to be loved. And honestly, how could you not fall for that adorable face? His little underbite makes his two bottom teeth stick out like tiny vampire fangs, earning him the perfect name: Count Chompula. 🧛🐱 Count does need an experienced, cat savvy home that understands some cats need time, patience, and respect to feel safe. Because of his history, he would do best in an adult-only home or a home with older, cat experienced children. Stories like Count’s remind us how important rescue and fostering truly are.
