About Capone

Capone is a large, mixed-breed American Staffordshire Terrier whose true nature really comes out once he leaves the shelter. Out of that stressful environment, he’s a different dog—calm, affectionate, and relaxed, but still playful with his favorite people. Capone is currently working on potty training; he’s been doing great and has picked up good house manners quickly, with no accidents or destructive behavior reported in foster. He likes his crate and is always excited to come out and see you. Walks are a highlight for Capone, and he’s also an excellent car companion—he’ll want to be right by your side, so bring a seatbelt on your drives. Capone thrives in the company of other playful, tolerant dogs who enjoy rough and tumble games; he matches well with dogs that enjoy wrestling and chase. He understands dog corrections and shows a sweet, submissive side as he adjusts to new canine friends. Capone loves people and bonds quickly. He isn’t a fit for a home with cats due to his prey drive. Once given some time and space to settle in, Capone’s gentle, loving personality shines through. They are waiting with paws crossed!
