Meet Moose, a 3-year-old tricolor bully with the cutest little underbite and a heart as soft as they come. Moose is the perfect blend of gentle soul and easygoing goofball. He has a calm, loving presence, but he’s always ready for fun—whether that’s a walk, a car ride, or a cuddle session on the couch. He’s the kind of dog who just goes with the flow and makes life better simply by being in it. Moose came to us from the streets of Houston with quite the medical journey ahead of him. He had severely compromised skin, one of the worst cases of cherry eye and dry eye we’ve seen, was heartworm positive, and was underweight. But this resilient boy has tackled it all like a champ. With surgeries behind him and heartworm treatment complete, Moose is now thriving and so ready for his next chapter. And what a companion he is. Moose is incredibly loving and gets along beautifully with all animals. Dogs, cats, even parrots and pigs—he takes it all in stride without a hint of reactivity. His laid-back, accepting nature makes him a rare gem. Moose loves everything about life: treats, car rides, walks, dog park adventures, bones, pets, hugs, and cozy nighttime cuddles. If it involves love or fun, Moose is all in. He’s also wonderfully easy to live with. He's potty trained, crate trained, and non-destructive in the home (aside from the occasional shoe nibble… he has his moments). He walks nicely on a leash and has great overall manners. Moose is neutered, microchipped, up to date on all core vaccines, and has been treated for heartworms. He is healthy, happy, and ready to settle into his forever home. Moose is truly the kind of dog who can fit into just about any home. He’s loving without being overwhelming, playful without being chaotic, and steady in a way that makes him an instant best friend. Adoption process: After your phone screening, we can schedule a meet and greet/the start of your foster-to-adopt trial. All adoptions have a 2 week minimum foster-to-adopt trial to make sure that the pet is the right fit for your home, and vice versa. Moose's adoption fee is $250, which would be due after the foster-to-adopt period. If you are located outside of Texas, we offer to-your-door transportation and have so many happy families as references. We are very transparent about the process so feel free to ask any questions.
