Hi... I'm Maris. I'm a tiny little 6-pound Maltese with soft white fur and an even softer heart. I'm 2 years old and life has been very confusing for me so far. I came to CAMO as a breeder surrender with 8 other dogs, and for most of my life, things felt noisy, chaotic, and uncertain. I'm still learning that people can be gentle, homes can be peaceful, and love can feel safe. I'm a very sweet girl who wants so badly to be close to my person. I'll quietly follow you around or sit nearby just to feel comforted. But I need you to understand that I'm timid, and new things can still be scary for me. Fast movements, loud noises, or too much happening at once make me nervous, so I'm hoping for a calm, patient home where I can finally exhale and just be a dog. I get along really well with other dogs and would love a gentle canine friend to help me feel more confident. Because I'm so tiny and sensitive, I think a home without young kids would help me feel safest. I don't need much - just kindness, patience, and someone willing to move slowly with me while I learn how to trust. I've spent my whole life surviving... and now I'm hoping to finally learn what it feels like to be cherished. Adoption fee is: $450 ALL adoptions require a completed application, vet check, home check and final contract. The application to adopt can be found at www.camorescue.com. Adoption fees are variable. Up to date vaccines, microchip, spay/neuter are included in the fee. Once your application has been approved, we will put you in touch with a CAMO representative to set up a meet and greet. We select the best applicant for each dog, based on the dog's needs.
