About Penny
At about a year and a half old, Penny manages to balance youthful, playful energy with just enough maturity to fit right in at home. She’s thought to be a Staffy and Hound mix—a compact, muscular 40 pounds, smaller than she appears in her photos. Social and outgoing, Penny gets along smoothly with other dogs and even cats, enjoying a lively playmate or just soaking up all the attention from her people. Her bouncy, enthusiastic personality makes her a great fit for families with children over 6 who can keep up with her energy. Penny has already nailed crate training and is housebroken. She’s up to date on all vet care and ready to jump into her new routine. She’s polite with treats, riding quietly in the car and making errands or adventures easy. Cuddle bug and adventure buddy, she really does adapt to the mood of her people. Any approved adopter will need to bring current pets and the whole family for a meet before beginning a 2-week adoption trial. Ready for someone to make her part of the family, Penny might be the perfect mix of sweet and spirited. Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!
