Meet Sadie Sadie is an 8-year-old Jack Russell/Schnauzer mix looking for a fresh start after her owner moved and was unable to take her along. While she may technically be a "senior," don't tell Sadie that - this girl still has plenty of energy and absolutely loves staying active. Sadie enjoys going for walks, running around the backyard, and playing games like fetch and catch. She's the kind of dog who is happiest when she gets to be involved in the fun and spend time with her people. She can get excited and may jump up for attention, but it all comes from a place of love and enthusiasm. She has done well with other dogs, including a picky resident dog in foster care, and has previously lived with cats successfully. Because of her energy level and excitement, Sadie would likely do best in an adult-only home or one with older children who can respect her space and boundaries. Sadie is used to living in a home environment and was not previously crate trained. While she doesn't love going into the crate, she does settle nicely once inside and has even slept through the night quietly. She had a couple accidents when first arriving to foster care, but once she learned the routine of walks and backyard breaks, she adjusted well. For all her playful energy, Sadie also has a softer side. After a good walk or some playtime, she's more than happy to curl up beside you for a nap and enjoy being your little companion.
