Meet Ginger! Ginger is a 3-year-old shepherd mix with a gentle heart and a quiet nature. She came from a tough backyard situation, so the world is still new and a bit overwhelming for her, but every day brings progress—she’s starting to learn that humans can be kind and life inside is safe. Ginger loves other dogs deeply. You’ll usually find her cuddled up with a friend—whether it’s Brandy, Susie, or Panda, who keeps her busy during playtime. It sounds like she has a soft spot for her buddy Angus, too. Ginger depends on canine companions for confidence. She’d do best in a home with a friendly dog who can help guide her as she figures out what it means to be a cherished pet. At about 40 pounds, Ginger is a medium-sized girl. She is still shy with people, though treats from volunteers are winning her over little by little. Ginger needs a patient, understanding family ready to give her space and support as she grows.
