About Apollo
Apollo is a 3-year-old St. Bernard/Newfoundland mix who’s weathered hard times but refuses to give up hope. His last family failed him: left unsecured outside, he was attacked by a neighbor’s pack of dogs, leaving him with puncture wounds and shaken trust. Thankfully Apollo pulled through, but he’s now searching for a true forever home where his gentle nature will be valued. He’s an incredibly sweet, laid-back dog who thrives on cuddling with his people and enjoying quiet yard time. Apollo will do best with a physically fenced yard—he loves sniffing around and soaking up the world at a calm pace. Walks suit him; he’s good on a leash and knows basic commands, though he’d benefit from ongoing guidance and reassurance to build back his confidence after recent upheaval. Thunderstorms make him uneasy, but otherwise, he’s easygoing and eager for human company. Apollo’s striking black coat with a bold white chest blaze and paint-spattered paws make him unmistakable. He’s currently sporting a shorter coat due to a recent shave, but his characteristic fluff is on the way back. He’s up to date on vaccinations, microchipped, heartworm negative, and neutered. Apollo deserves a loving home willing to continue his training and give him the security he’s been missing. Click apply to start the adoption process.
