PERSONALITY SNAPSHOT (re look at weekly) -Personality: Social / friendly, Affectionate -Energy Level: Low -Handling: Enjoys petting,Very social with people -A little bit about me: A friendly cat who enjoys being around people and likes sitting on laps Mamie is six and a half pounds of pure, fluffy adorableness. At first glance, you might think this tiny girl is still a kitten, but she's actually approaching her sixth birthday! If you're lucky, she'll hop right into your lap, perfectly content to soak up your warmth, and maybe block your keyboard while you work. Mamie loves to perch up high on shelves and windowsills, quietly keeping to herself among our more rambunctious residents. Everyone who meets her can't help but stop and admire her. So why is someone this sweet still waiting? If you sit with Mamie for a while, you might notice her breathing quickly and shallowly as she takes a rest. That's because Mamie is actually one of HTAT's Heart Cats. She was born with a few structural quirks in her heart, meaning it has to work a little harder than most. Not only that, but Mamie has a heart murmur that measures 5 out of 6, just one step below the highest grade. There's a reason she's so little! But here's the great part: with just a couple of tiny pills each day and a quick squirt of oral medication, Mamie can enjoy a happy, love-filled life. She's proof that the biggest hearts sometimes hide in the tiniest bodies.
