Buddy is 2yrs old and fully vetted. He was an owner surrender. We've had some issues with this boy but since we moved him out of TN and into a foster home in NJ, he has come around. Buddy originally lived with 5 kids. According to his previous owner.. he lived outdoors since he was a pup. He wasn't touchable, didn't play with toys, was not potty trained at all and would not let you touch or pick him up. Since being in foster he's been doing amazing. Foster writes the following... "He loves to be picked up and sit with you for belly rubs. He will even fall asleep next to you on the couch. He’s calm at times but still has puppy energy. He gives tons of kisses. He goes out but barks if no one is outside with him. If you throw a toy he will play with it and stops barking. He occasionally will have accidents but not often. He will go in the cage if I go out or at night to sleep with no issues . He’s not bad on a leash but turns upside down when he doesn’t want to go any further. Lol He loves to eat and when he's hungry he lets you know." The only habit Buddy hasn't changed is being a flight risk. He looks to dart out the door. So... this boy will need a fully fenced in yard. Entrances/Exits to a home will need to be secured. The home Buddy is being fostered in is with a mid age women living alone. Moving forward we are looking for the same. He doesn't like a lot of activity which is why where he is. he is more relaxed, learning and his personality is doing so much better. He will need someone w/time, love and patience. If you do not have that to give him, I will ask that you do not inquire about him. He ignores other dogs and seems to be okay w/cats. We do foster to adopt. This allows time for the adopter to make sure our rescue fits perfectly in their family and it also allows us time to see if the adopter fits well into our adoption family. Must live in NJ. Must have a full fenced in yard. Must own your own home!
