For several days I wandered around a grocery store parking lot hoping someone would notice me and be kind. I was scared, hungry and didn't know who to trust. Finally, I wandered into a back yard where some really nice people helped me feel safe again. I was shy at first, but once I realized nobody was going to hurt me, my sweet personality started to shine. Now I love BELLY RUBS, soft beds, toys, chewy treats and being close to my people. KIDS are one of my favorite things ever because they give the best belly rubs! I may start out a little timid, but once I know I'm loved, I'll be your LOYAL best friend forever. This petite chocolate lab mix girl is everything WONDERFUL wrapped into one ADORABLE package. She is incredibly SWEET, SUBMISSIVE, GENTLE and LOVING. She forms STRONG BONDS with her people and truly just wants to be near them. While Zuma can be a little shy when meeting new people, she warms up quickly. Her foster mom says she is so PLAYFUL that she finds her vet estimated age older than she actually is, but who really knows. She is wonderful with children and absolutely melts for attention and affection. Once she feels comfortable, her playful side comes out and she enjoys toys, chewies and romping around with the foster's dog. She gets along great with other dogs and enjoys having canine friends around. Zuma is great on leash, wonderful in the house and does fine in a crate, although she would much rather be out spending time with her humans. Her gentle, calm nature makes her an easy companion to love.
