Apollo is one half of a stunning bonded pair of sleek black “panthers,” and he absolutely lives up to his name. Born and raised indoors alongside his brother Rocky, Apollo has been playful and affectionate from the very beginning. Although their early start lacked proper vet care, one of our volunteers stepped in quickly to give them the fresh start they deserved, and Apollo has been thriving ever since. Named after the iconic Rocky films set in Philadelphia, Apollo is the braver and bigger of the two brothers. He is confident, curious, and always the first to explore something new. One of Apollo’s most unique features is his “muffin paws.” He has extra toes that make his paws look like little boxing mitts, and he actually uses them in the coolest ways. Watching him balance on the backs of chairs or pick things up is incredible. He can grip objects almost like he has an opposable thumb, giving him a playful, almost human-like way of interacting with the world. Apollo is also incredibly affectionate. He loves being near his people, happily taking treats from your hand, soaking up belly rubs, and curling up beside you whenever he can. Despite his adventurous side, he has a soft, snuggly nature and truly enjoys being close. He is a big fan of scratch pads and climbing, and he would thrive in a home with a tall cat tower where he can show off his agility. Watching him climb and perch like a little panther is something special. Most importantly, Apollo is deeply bonded with his brother Rocky. They play together, sleep together, and rely on each other for comfort and companionship.
