About Rosierosebud

Rosierosebud, or Rosie, is a 9-year-old Boston Terrier in Seattle, WA, with a giant personality packed into a small frame. She weighs in at 21lbs and has a reputation as a total sweetheart—just spend a few minutes with her and you'll see why. Rosie thrives around other dogs, especially those confident in their social skills, but cats and children make her uneasy, and she is not suited for homes with either. Human companionship is where she truly shines; nothing makes her happier than curling up next to you on the couch, in bed, or heading out for her devoted long walks—she keeps a steady pace with her foster on twice-daily 1 to 1.5 mile outings. Rosie is whip-smart—sometimes to the point of mischief. She’s figured out how to open her crate (her foster now double latches), and she’s been known to defeat doors and gates too, making her a "high flight risk." It’s important that her future family be vigilant and have a secure home and yard. She’s house trained and almost entirely crate trained, but honestly, she can be trusted loose for short stints. Rosie craves regular outdoor time and yard space, so she’s not suited for apartment life or situations where she can’t bark freely now and then. Her ideal home includes an owner who works from home and wants a steadfast walking buddy and snuggler. Rosie is ready to add joy and adventure to the right home. Questions about Rosierosebud

  • What type of living environment is this breed usually best suited for?

  • How much outdoor space does this breed typically need?

Rosierosebud and other Boston Terriers benefit from regular walks and a safely fenced yard to explore. While not high-energy compared to some breeds, she enjoys having space for exercise and occasional play.

  • Is this breed typically suitable for homes with children?

Boston Terriers can be good with children, but Rosierosebud is not comfortable around young kids and is best placed in a home with adults or teens only.
