It gives us time to evaluate the Lab’s personality, bring them up-to-date on vaccinations, and have them spayed/neutered if needed. If you are interested in this Lab, please keep checking the website for status updates or send an email of interest to adoptionteam@cilra.org. ************* Meet Laney, a 1.5-year-old chocolate Labrador Retriever with a sweet personality and so much love to give! At around 62 pounds, this beautiful girl combines playful energy with a gentle, affectionate nature that makes everyone around her fall in love. Whether she’s chasing a tennis ball, hopping in the car for an adventure, or curling up close to her people, Laney is happiest when she’s part of the fun. Laney came to rescue after her previous family realized farm life wasn’t the right fit for her—she thought chasing pigs and goats sounded a little too exciting! Since then, she’s been thriving in foster care and showing everyone what a wonderful companion she is. Right now, Laney lives with an 11-year-old boy and a 3-year-old male dog, and she gets along wonderfully with both. She loves spending time with her people and has a friendly, social personality that makes her a joy to have around. Her compatibility with cats is currently unknown. This smart girl is both house trained and crate trained, and she happily uses her crate for naps and bedtime. She walks nicely on a leash and keeps improving every day with practice. Laney already knows commands like “sit” and truly enjoys learning, especially when it means spending time with her family and earning praise. Laney would love a home with a fenced yard where she can run, play, and burn off some of her happy Lab energy. She’s the perfect mix of playful and easygoing, and she’s ready to become a loyal best friend to a lucky family. Laney is currently being fostered in the north suburbs of Chicago and can’t wait to meet her forever family! ******* Adopting a Lab can be a wonderful experience. Your new dog will need lots of love, adequate exercise and attention.
