Bolt is the kind of dog who lives life at full speed and with his whole heart. This young neutered foxhound is bursting with energy, curiosity, and enthusiasm for absolutely everything around him. If there’s an adventure to be had, Bolt is ready to lead the charge — nose first, of course! Like any true hound, he loves to follow scents wherever they take him, which can occasionally land him in a little mischief, but his eagerness to learn and please makes him a fun and rewarding companion to work with. Bolt is currently learning his basic manners and is already showing off a solid "sit" while working hard on mastering "down." He’s a smart boy who genuinely enjoys learning, especially when attention and praise are involved. And trust us — once you feel those unbelievably soft hound ears, you’ll want to shower him with attention all day long. He absolutely adores other dogs and would love a canine companion, but because he’s still young and figuring out proper social skills, his play style can be a little rough and over-the-top at times. He’ll do best with a patient, confident dog friend who can help show him the ropes and tolerate his goofy enthusiasm while he learns respectful play. Bolt is affectionate, lovable, and always ready to be part of whatever you’re doing. He does have that classic hound voice and isn’t shy about using it, so apartment life probably isn’t the best fit for him. He’d thrive in a home ready for an active young dog who needs exercise, guidance, and lots of love.
