Meet Maximilian! He is a 1-year-old handsome large-sized boy, weighing around 65 pounds, who's ready to find a loving home to call his own. Max came to us when his previous owner was no longer able to keep him, and he's been patiently waiting since May 13th, 2026 for his fresh start. Maximilian is a sweet and energetic young dog who is still learning the ropes of adulthood. He already seems to know "sit" and "shake" very well, and he absolutely loves squeaky toys. Max is a fun-loving boy who enjoys staying active and would likely thrive in a home that can provide him with plenty of exercise, enrichment, and opportunities to learn. Because he is still young and full of enthusiasm, Max would benefit from continued mental and physical stimulation throughout his day. A training class would be a wonderful way to help him build basic manners, strengthen his confidence, and keep his busy brain engaged while also helping him bond with his new family. We recommend a home with older children if there are kids in the household, and all family members should meet him prior to adoption to ensure a good fit. Max has previously lived with other dogs and has done well meeting dogs here at the shelter. He may be able to live with another dog, though adopters should be mindful of shared resources between pets to help set everyone up for success. Maximilian is looking for a home without cats or chickens. Maximilian is a bright, playful boy with so much potential and love to give.
