Meet Steve! He is a 6-year-old handsome large-breed boy weighing around 55 lbs who's ready to find a loving family to call his own. Steve came to us when his previous owners were moving and unfortunately could not take him along. He's been patiently waiting since May 5th, 2026 for his second chance. Steve is a big, friendly guy with a gentle heart who absolutely loves being close to his people. He enjoys attention, companionship, and spending quality time with those he trusts. Whether he's hanging out by your side or showing off his playful personality, Steve is happiest when he's included in the fun. This sweet boy already knows "sit" and enjoys playing with all kinds of toys, making him both a fun and engaging companion. Steve has done well meeting other dogs here at the shelter and may enjoy a canine friend in his future home, especially one who prefers calmer, more relaxed interactions. He seems to do best in smaller, more controlled playgroups rather than busy or chaotic environments. Steve has also previously lived with cats. Because of his size and enthusiasm, Steve may do best in a home with older children if there are any. As always, we require all children in the home to meet him prior to adoption to help ensure a good fit for everyone. With his affectionate personality, playful spirit, and loyal nature, Steve has all the makings of a wonderful companion for a family ready to give him the love and stability he deserves.
