About Eli
Eli’s story started with heartbreak—a devoted cat suddenly left on his own after his person passed in New York. He slipped out after cleaners visited and spent nearly a week surviving in the building stairwell, until caring neighbors took notice. With gentleness and patience, his foster helped Eli heal and rediscover his love for life. Now he’s the cat who's first to chase a tossed toy, always up for a game of fetch or curling up content on your lap. Stretching out for a belly rub, Eli is equal parts playful and affectionate, with a soulful look in his eyes. Though he enjoys the company of other cats, he prefers a home without dogs or young children, as those can overwhelm him. If you want a loyal, loving companion on your couch and in your day-to-day, Eli is ready for a new beginning. Your new best friend is just one click away.
