Introducing Cookie! Cookie is an affectionate and loving pup who thrives on attention from both humans and her canine companions. This incredibly smart girl already knows how to sit and give paw, making training enjoyable for everyone involved. She has an enthusiastic puppy spirit and loves to cuddle after burning off some energy wrestling with her fur siblings in her foster home. Cookie has a knack for making friends and hasn’t met a dog or human she doesn’t adore. At about 1.5 years old and weighing 67 lbs, Cookie is likely a mix of Labrador Retriever and Doberman Pinscher, complete with gorgeous soulful eyes. As a big girl, she isn’t always aware of her size or strength, so some guidance when meeting new dogs and humans is necessary. For this reason, we recommend a home without small children or cats. Cookie is fully house trained and crate trained. While she may have limited leash experience, she is a fantastic listener and eager to treat her way through training. A home with a fenced yard would be ideal so she can enjoy her playtime to the fullest. A doggy sibling or plenty of playtime would be a big bonus! This resilient girl has a story worth telling; she survived three days alone during a devastating flood in the Rio Grande Valley. Now she is ready for her forever home and deserves all the love in the world. Cookie is fostered in South TX but is available for adoption across Texas and Northeastern states.
