About Cove
Meet Cove, a beautiful little girl with a heart as sweet as they come. Abandoned in South Carolina at just four months old, Cove and her brother were left to fend for themselves far too soon. Despite her rough start with humans, she still greets everyone with a gentle, affectionate spirit and an open heart. Cove craves connection and warms up quickly with kindness and a gentle touch. She’s learning what it means to be safe and cared for, and it’s remarkable how quickly she begins to trust and bloom when treated with patience. Her gentle nature makes her easy to love, and she truly deserves a home that will give her the safety and unconditional affection she's never known before. She gets along well with other dogs and is ready for her second chance at happiness. Cove is searching for a family willing to show her the security and love she needs to leave her past behind for good. Give her a cozy spot to nap, some adventures, and she’ll return your care with loyalty and sweetness. Fun fact: Cove is a Capricorn, so expect a mix of loyalty and determination in her personality. Questions about Cove
What type of living environment is this breed usually best suited for?
Cove's Plott Hound and Labrador Retriever mix background means she’d do best in a home where she has enough space to move around and plenty of opportunities to engage with people and activities. Apartments can work if she’s exercised daily, but a home with a secure yard is a great fit.
How much outdoor space does this breed typically need?
As a Plott Hound/Labrador Retriever mix, Cove would thrive with regular outdoor time in a yard or frequent walks and play sessions. While she doesn't require acres of land, she does need a place to stretch her legs and explore.
Is this breed typically suitable for homes with children?
Labrador Retrievers and Plott Hounds are known for their gentle and friendly temperament, making Cove generally a good match for homes with children, especially if introductions are handled thoughtfully.
