About Zane

Zane is a young Miniature Poodle with a lot of energy packed into his small, black frame. He arrived as an owner surrender in Tennessee and, at 3 years old, is fully vetted, neutered, and up to date on his vaccines. Zane's got all the personality—he's high-energy, smart, and still acts like a puppy. He gets along with dogs in theory, but he’s much happier as the only pet. Put simply: he can be a bit much for other dogs and would do best as the center of attention where he doesn’t have to share. When alone, Zane becomes much calmer and settles in well. Crate and house trained, Zane might have a few accidents in a new place, but with patience and routine he’ll get on track fast. Zane is looking specifically for a single, mid-aged couple with no other dogs. The right fit means a full fenced yard, a home owned by the adopter, and a household located in NJ—adoptions outside the state won’t be considered. Foster-to-adopt is an option, allowing everyone to be sure it's the right match. Time, love, and patience are what Zane needs most. Give him that, and he'll return it tenfold. They are ready to love you; are you ready to apply?
