About Boba

Meet Boba — a spunky little cat who knows exactly what she wants and has a carefully thought out system for getting it! If she decides it's playtime, Boba will walk up to the side of your chair, bat one arm to get your attention, then circle behind to bat the other arm, just to make sure you've fully registered her request. When that doesn't work fast enough, she'll race you down the hallway, glancing back over her shoulder as she dashes, sideways, as if to confirm that yes, you are in fact following her, and yes, you will be picking up that string. Boba is a big talker. She will let you know when it's time for meals, toys, or affection. Boba is an independent spirit, but she likes to keep tabs on her humans - whatever you're doing, she'd like to know if she can be involved. She's particularly fond of window time, watching birds with great focus and dedication. (YouTube bird videos are a perfectly acceptable substitute.) On her own terms, Boba is also wonderfully soft and affectionate. When she's in a cuddly mood, she'll show off her very plush belly. Boba loves a good shoulder rub and quick scritches, and will lean into affection when she's ready for it. Her favorite toy, without question, is a plain piece of string. She would chase it for hours if given the opportunity. Of course, opportunities must be provided on demand! Boba and her sister Sumo are easy, comfortable companions. They tend to share moods: when one is playful, the other usually is too; when one settles in for a nap, the other isn't far behind. They're often found in the same room doing their own thing, and they're impressively good at taking turns with the same toys. Boba and Sumo are bonded and will be adopted together. If you would like to discuss meeting and possibly adopting sisters Boba and Sumo, email: info@chicagocatrescue.org. No texts please. CCR adopts to forever homes in Chicago or the very near suburbs that are within 10 miles of our respective Chicago foster families. Most of our foster families reside on the north side of the city. We love our cats and we pledge support for the rest of their lives, which is why our location limits are in place. We appreciate your understanding. If you are outside of these limits, please check petfinder.com, which allows searching by zip code, for cats closer to your home. At Chicago Cat Rescue, we are dedicated to both the physical and emotional well-being of the cats and kittens in our care. Chicago Cat Rescue is an entirely foster based organization. Our ability to help more cats in need is dependent on our availability of foster homes. If you think you could provide a loving foster situation for a cat in need, or would like to learn more about our foster program, please email us, foster@chicagocatrescue.org. Thank you!
